Qiuquan Wang

Qiuquan Wang is Professor of Chemistry in the College of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering and the MOE Key Laboratory of Spectrochemical Analysis & Instrumentation, Xiamen University. He is also a Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science at Xiamen University. He received his BSc (1986) from Liaoning University and his MSc (1989) from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Afterwards, he became a Research Associate (1989) and then a Lecturer (1990-1994) in Shenyang Institute of Chemical Engineering. He went to Gunma University (Japan) at the end of 1994, where he studied in the Department of Chemistry and earned his DrEng (1998). He returned to Xiamen University as a Post Doctoral Fellow (1998), and was promoted to Associate Professor of Chemistry (1999) and then Full Professor of Chemistry (2004). He has broad research interests ranging from Atomic Spectrometry (AS) to Mass Spectrometry (MS), especially in the development of hyphenated systems of HPLC/CE with AS/MS for elemental speciation and the monitoring of POPs in the environment. Currently, he devotes a great deal of energy to developing novel analytical strategies for Metallomics and Quantitative Proteomics studies with more than 80 peer-reviewed papers. He enjoys watching films, reading, and relaxing with a leisurely stroll.
