Clay Davis

Clay Davis works as a research chemist for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) at the Hollings Marine Laboratory in Charleston, SC.  He earned a B.S. degree in chemistry in 1999 from Georgia Southern University and a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from Clemson University in 2003 under the direction of Professor R. Kenneth Marcus.  In 2003, he was awarded a NIST - National Research Council Postdoctoral Research Associateship and has continued at NIST ever since.  His research interests are centered mainly in the field of proteomics, with special emphasis in the area of high accuracy measurements of metalloproteins and biomarkers in clinical and environmental samples.
